How to choose the right vehicle for a Chicago group
Four questions settle it: headcount, how the group wants to spend the ride, how long the route really takes, and what the date does to the minimum.
How many riders, counting everyone?
Vehicles cannot be loaded past seated capacity, so count chaperones, photographers, and the friend who always says yes at the last minute. Three or more stops usually turns a 4-hour plan into 5; booking the fifth hour up front costs $210 on a 22-passenger bus, while hoping to extend mid-trip often is not possible.
What does the date do to the minimum?
Friday and Saturday evenings carry a 4-hour minimum. Sunday through Thursday, and weekend trips ending before 5 p.m., qualify for the 3-hour rate, which is the easiest way to save. Every Saturday in March, April, and May is prom season with a 6-hour minimum and prom pricing about 26% above the regular 6-hour rate, for any event type booked that day.

How many people fit on a party bus?

The quoted price covers the vehicle for the reserved hours, a professional and commercially insured driver, fuel, taxes, and the driver's gratuity. Party buses and stretch limousines also come with ice and bottled water in the bar area. Extra hours are billed at the contract hourly rate, and mileage adjustments apply only to trips well outside Chicagoland, which the written quote will say up front. There is no tip to calculate on the night of the event.
Can I upgrade or downgrade the vehicle after booking?
Changing vehicle size after reserving is difficult because the sizes around yours are usually already booked for the same night.
