Formal evenings in Chicago tend to end at a handful of curbs, and each has its habits. In the Loop theater district around Randolph, State, and Dearborn, pre-curtain traffic stacks up from about forty-five minutes before showtime, so an early drop-off followed by a drink nearby is calmer than aiming for the last ten minutes.
