Party Bus Rental in Frankfort, Illinois
Frankfort has no train station and no expressway ramp of its own, so group trips start at a house or near the historic downtown and run up LaGrange Road to I-80 or east on Route 30 to I-57. Allow 45 to 70 minutes to the Loop. Wedding shuttles and 14 to 24 seat buses are the usual requests.

Where Route 30 crosses Route 45: the roads out of Frankfort
Frankfort sits where two old US highways cross: Route 30, the Lincoln Highway, running east and west, and Route 45, LaGrange Road, running north and south. Neither is an expressway, and the village has no Metra station, so a Frankfort party bus or limo trip into Chicago begins with ten or fifteen minutes of traffic signals before the fast part starts.
There are two sensible ways out. North on LaGrange Road reaches I-80 at the Mokena line, and from there a driver can go east to I-57 and the Dan Ryan, or pick up I-294 for O'Hare and the north suburbs. The other way is east on Route 30 through Matteson to I-57, which suits homes on the east side of the village and anything bound for the South Loop, the museums or the ballpark at 35th Street. Harlem Avenue, a few miles east of downtown, offers another ramp onto I-80 when LaGrange Road is thick with shoppers.
Plan on 45 to 70 minutes to the Loop on a weekend evening and up to 90 in a weekday rush. Midway is usually 40 to 55 minutes and O'Hare 55 to 80. Route 30 slows through the retail stretch around Route 45 and again approaching I-57, so a pickup time that looks too early on the map is usually right. Run your own addresses through the route time estimator before you fix a dinner reservation.
Kansas Street, Breidert Green and evenings that stay in the village
The historic downtown is compact: a few blocks around Kansas, Oak and White streets, with Breidert Green in the middle, the Trolley Barn's shops and restaurants beside it, and the Old Plank Road Trail running straight through. On a summer evening the green fills with families and cyclists coming off the trail, and on Sunday mornings in the warm months the country market takes over the streets. It is a lovely place to eat and a poor place to park a bus.
That shapes how a local night works. For an anniversary table or a special dinner out, a stretch limousine or a Sprinter can stop briefly at the curb, let everyone out and return at an agreed time. A larger bus should load on the edge of the district, a block or two from the green, where it is not squeezing between parked cars and restaurant patios. Tell us which restaurant you have booked and we will suggest the nearest workable stop.
Frankfort groups also use downtown as the first stop of a longer evening: dinner here, then south-suburban taprooms, the taverns by the tracks in Mokena, or Oak Park Avenue in Tinley Park. Birthdays drive most of these nights, and they bunch up late in the year. Across birthday inquiries in our national booking network, 32% were for dates from October through December, so an autumn Saturday deserves a few weeks' notice. A 16 passenger party bus covers the typical group.
Fall Fest on Labor Day weekend: closed streets and a plan that works
The Frankfort Fall Festival takes over the historic downtown on Labor Day weekend with a large arts and crafts show, a carnival, food, entertainment and, traditionally, a parade. It is one of the biggest events of its kind in the south suburbs, and the crowds are very large for a village this size. Dates, hours and the parade route are set by the organizers each year, so check the current schedule before planning anything around it.
For transportation, three facts matter. Downtown streets are closed to traffic. Nearby residential streets fill with parked cars early. And visitors have generally been directed to remote parking with shuttle service, details of which change from year to year. A private bus cannot deliver you into the middle of the festival. What it can do is bring a group from another town to whatever drop-off point is designated that year, or to a spot a short walk out, and collect everyone at a set time and place.
If you live near downtown and have a vehicle booked for something else that weekend, a wedding or a holiday cookout across the county, give us a pickup address outside the closure area and build in extra time.
The same caution, scaled down, applies to other event days: summer concerts on the green, market mornings and the holiday-season celebrations. A look at the village calendar before choosing a pickup time saves your driver from meeting a barricade.
Common trips from Frankfort
Typical drive-time ranges. Friday evenings, game days, snow, and construction push trips toward the high end, so plan pickups from the longer number.
| Destination | Drive time | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Chicago Loop | 45–70 min (up to 90 in weekday rush) | LaGrange Road north to I-80 east, then I-57 and the Dan Ryan; or Route 30 east to I-57. East-side homes usually do better on Route 30. |
| Midway Airport | 40–55 min | I-80 to I-294 north, or Harlem Avenue and Cicero Avenue off-peak. Early-morning runs sit at the low end of the range. |
| O'Hare Airport | 55–80 min | I-80 to I-294 north the whole way. Tolls apply, and the stretch near I-55 and I-290 is where the time goes. |
| Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre, Tinley Park | 15–25 min | Harlem Avenue or 191st Street, no expressway needed. Confirm the venue's current bus arrival instructions before show day. |
| Soldier Field | 50–75 min | Route 30 to I-57, then the Dan Ryan to the lakefront exits. Game-day traffic near the stadium adds to the range, and bus parking is arranged with the venue in advance. |

Golf-club receptions and guest shuttles south of the Lincoln Highway
Weddings are the largest jobs we quote in Frankfort. Prestwick Country Club sits inside the village, other golf clubs and banquet rooms are spread through the countryside to the south and along Route 30, and the green with its brick storefronts is a favorite photo stop between ceremony and reception. Guests, meanwhile, usually sleep somewhere else, because the hotel clusters are along I-80 in Mokena, Tinley Park and Orland Park, or beside I-57 in Matteson.
A shuttle closes that gap. The usual plan is a 24 passenger shuttle bus or two running from the hotel block to the ceremony, then a couple of return runs late in the evening so nobody has to leave before the cake. Wedding requests run large: only 16% of wedding inquiries in our national booking network listed ten or fewer passengers, against 28% across all occasions. They also lean toward the back half of the year, with just 16% asking for spring dates, which is why September and October Saturdays at golf clubs need the earliest calls.
Private clubs have their own rules. Ask the event manager where a bus may drop, whether there is a canopy or gate with limited clearance, where a driver can wait, and what time the last vehicle must be off the property. Pass that along with your quote request. Working out the number of runs from the hotel guest list, not the full invitation list, keeps the plan realistic.
Lincoln-Way East dances, graduation and family milestones
Lincoln-Way East High School is in Frankfort, and its homecoming and prom weekends set the rhythm of the school-year calendar here. Groups are usually assembled by parents, photos happen in a backyard or on Breidert Green, and the dance itself may be at a banquet venue some distance away, which is exactly why families want one vehicle and one adult-approved plan instead of a line of teenage drivers on I-80.
School trips are alcohol-free without exception. We ask for a parent or guardian as the contact on the reservation, a rider list, and a schedule that names every stop, including any after-prom event the school runs. A prom party bus is reserved for a block of hours, so decide early whether the vehicle stays through the dance or drops off and returns. The prom checklist covers the details families tend to forget, from collecting money to where the corsages ride.
If the group wants pictures downtown on a Saturday in May, expect company. Other prom groups, wedding parties and ordinary diners all use the same few blocks. Have the bus wait away from the green and walk the last block.
Graduation parties, sweet sixteens and milestone anniversaries fill in the rest of the year. Features differ from one vehicle to the next, and the written quote lists what the assigned vehicle includes. When the headcount is settled, send the details with every address and the hour you expect to be home.
Where to load in Frankfort
Historic downtown curbs
Kansas, Oak and White streets are narrow, with parking on both sides and patios in season. Limousines and Sprinters can make a quick stop at a restaurant door. Buses of 30 feet or more should load a block or two out, away from Breidert Green, with the group ready to board.
Large-lot subdivisions
Much of Frankfort is newer subdivisions with wide streets, long driveways and the occasional tight court. A bus will load on the street, not the driveway. If your home is at the end of a small cul-de-sac or behind a community gate, say so, and plan to meet the vehicle at the entrance.
Country clubs and banquet venues
Clubs decide where commercial vehicles may drop, wait and turn around. Some entrance drives have canopies or decorative gates with limited height. Ask the venue coordinator for bus instructions in writing and forward them, so the right size of vehicle is sent.
Retail, church and school lots
With no commuter rail lot in the village, groups from several towns often want to meet in a big parking lot near Route 30 and Route 45. Those lots are private property. Get permission from the owner, church office or school before naming one as your pickup point.
