Across 65,687 national quote requests with 2024–2025 event dates, 26% were for fall dates and October alone accounted for 10%, more than any evenly divided month would. Layered on top of costume crawls are other occasions that peak at the same time: 58% of sports inquiries and 45% of wedding inquiries were for fall dates, and nearly a third of birthday inquiries (32%) fell between October and December. Those groups all want the same Friday and Saturday evenings.
The pressure is heaviest on mid-size vehicles. Among inquiries that specified a 21 to 30 seat vehicle, 40% were for fall dates, compared with 26% for the dataset as a whole.
